I'm still alive. No dreams about food last night that I recall. It's been a pleasant day, this really isn't as hard as others have experienced. No headaches, weakness or anything.
I am noticing the the effects of my body dumping toxins. I've experienced the coated white tongue, like others have reported on the Master Clease online forum. Some say it will get a lot worse in the next few days as the body attempts to expel toxins that have been stored in the fat tissues for years. Yummm!
Today I tried something new. I added some psyllium husks to my lemonade. I'm hoping they will bulk up, while in my colon, and assist in this overall cleanse. We'll see what happens.
Until next time...

Day 6 - Wednesday
Ok, this is really strange, but I had yet another dream last night about eating food. The weird thing is, I don't feel that hungry during the day. I'm trying to take a full glass of the lemonade ever hour. There are some times that I don't even want to, but I must press forward.
When I got to work I had another glass of the herbal laxative that is suggested in the book. Oh the joys of liquid bowel movements. And to think I can expect this until the very end.
Today was my lunch appointment with some friends. They were all eating their Arby's sandwhiches while I was sipping lemondade spiced with cayenne pepper. At least they were understanding. In fact, two of my friends had heard of the Master Cleanse before.
How I long for a nice turkey dinner, with mashed potatoes and gravy. It has to be a Butterball turkey, of course, they are so juicy! Where's my lemonade, I must focus.
Before I went to bed I had another drink of the herbal laxative tea. Can there really be anything left in me after so many days of no food?

Day 5 - Tuesday
Last night I had a dream of eating food, and that I felt guilty for breaking my goal of at least ten days. Good thing it was just a dream. This cleanse is affecting my social life. LOL. I just made an appointment with a few of my online friends, only to realize I won't be eating with them. They will be munching on their meal, and I'll be sipping a lemonade. Oh well, the rash has to go.
Today at work I printed out a progress chart to keep track of how things are going. I need a visual reminder that I need to be drinking several glasses each day. Today during office hours I only had 4. At least my coworkers are supportive. Phil may do the Master Cleanse or a liver cleanse here soon. I need to send them a website link showing examples of the stones and whatnot that brave souls have been expelling. Might make them want to jump on board even quicker.
By the way, I had another cup of Smooth Move when I arrived at work this morning. And yes, it's starting to do it's job.

Day 4 - Monday
Today was my first day back at my job while on this new cleanse. I probably only had three glasses of lemonade. I need to do better if I'm going to down up to 12 each day.
So far no major detox symptoms. I feel fine. No headaches, weakness or anything. One concern is that I haven't had a bowel movement at all today.
During my lunch break I went to the health food store to get some Smooth Move herbal laxative, as suggested by the Master Cleanse book. I just washed down a cup of it, not too bad tasting. Hopefully this will help things start to "move" tomorrow.

Day 3 - Sunday
Unlike other people who have experienced some detox symptoms, I have been just fine. Whenever I have felt a tad bit hungry, I've just gone into the kitchen to make some more lemonade. I need to remember to buy some clean bottled water, as I'm sure the city water isn't the best for a cleanse.
One thing I have noticed is that my tongue is looking better. It used to be coated with a white film. Those who have done the Master Cleanser say that their tongues return to a healthy pink color, the true sign that toxins inside have been eliminated. I also have some lesions on my tongue at the very back, the place that is hard to get with a toothbrush. Maybe these will clear up too? Did I mention that I don't like the rash on my hand and leg? Let's hope this cleanse gets rid of it for sure.
The wife and kids left for the day to the in laws for a visit, so I've been able to get some work done on the computer, accomplishing some tasks that have been sitting for months.
Being that I had no bowel movements today, I decided to do the salt water flush, as indicated in the book. I didn't have a liter bottle laying around, so I just used a tall glass. I filled it with warm water, then added a tablespoon of Real Salt, which is different from table salt. I thought I would gag on it, but it was actually kind of tasty. They say this is a safer way to flush the intestinal tract, rather than using laxatives and enemas. I will report tomorrow on how "things turn out".

Day 2 - Saturday
Today the stones started coming out via my bowel movements. This was the part you were waiting for, isn't it? Maybe I'll post some photos. In the meantime, I have them stored in a plastic bottle for those with strong stomachs. Phil, a coworker friend, has already expressed interest in seeing "what becomes of this", and maybe he'll try it too.
They come in all different shapes and sizes, but one thing they are NOT is smooth. They have jagged edges kind of like a rough diamond. Some are black, some are bright green, some are tan. I've read somewhere that these "stones" are the result of calcified cholesterol. These are not rock hard, as you might think, but can actually be squished between your fingers if you press hard enough.
I really owe www.eczemacure.info a big thank-you for helping me realize I could do this. In all, I probably have about 50 stones, some big some small. I've read testimonials online where people do these types of cleanses every two weeks. One lady, who was on her 15th cleanse, eliminated stones about the size of a pecan. Amazing! Maybe after I do my lemonade cleanse, I will do another round of this liver flush.
Tonight I was pondering how to proceed now that the liver cleanse is over. Should I go out and get a nice salad from the local Cafe Rio Mexican restaurant? I decided that it would be in my best interest to continue straight into the lemonade cleanse. I'll have to visit Cafe Rio another time. I think I'm going to start on the 10 lemonade cleanse called, "The Master Cleansser", a program invented by Stanley Burroughs. I've had his book for several years, and I think I may have even started this cleans before, but I never got passed day three.

I'm going to go the full 10 days this time, maybe even longer. You see, I have some eczema that has returned and I'm determined to make it go away for good. Lotions and creams provide some relief to the itching, but who wants to live with this forever? Not me.
I have done a lot of research on this, and it seems to indicate that skin conditions, of any kind, are the result of a dirty body inside. And with eating the traditional American diet for 30+ years, who wouldn't need a good internal "spring cleaning"?

Day 1 - Friday
I have decided to start a liver cleanse. What is a liver cleanse you ask? Good question, I didn't know until recently myself. This will take gall stones that are being stored in my liver and flush them out via bowel movements. Lovely, eh? These stones are different from kidney stones, which come out through the urine stream and can be quite painful. The liver's purpose, as you know, is to clean and filter the blood. But what happens when the filter becomes plugged up? I'll tell you, eczema and other skin conditions. Thus the cleanse.
So for lunch today I just brought a bag of small baby carrots. The cleanse instructions call for a lunch with zero fat, to help prepare the liver for what will happen next. I haven't been able to eat or drink since 2PM either.
At 8PM I was ready for the next part, which involved drinking a 3/4 cup brew of water, dissolved epsom salts and grapefruit juice for flavoring. Not the kind of drink I would want everyday, but if that's what the cleanse calls for, so be it.
At 10PM I went to the next step and downed a .5 cup of olive oil! Nasty it was! I "chased" that down with another 3/4 cup of the epsom salt potion. I went to bed hoping for the best, was it really going to be this easy? Time will tell.
